Specialist - Pre sales Associate,




As a Solutions Engineer (Associate), you will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end success of Sungard AS’ opportunities; including pre-sales support, requirements gathering, solution design, pricing, and internal and external facing documentation, leading to a successful hand off into implementation. The Junior Solutions Engineer will develop their knowledge of Sungard AS’ service portfolio and have an impact on the organization through feedback and interaction with other departments and teams.


  1. Drive incremental revenue through the development of technical and business relationships, supporting sales opportunities to best position Sungard AS’s capabilities and integrated value proposition.

  2. Further develop your consultative selling approach, identifying client’s business needs, determine client desired outcomes and create a resilient solution that utilises a mix of Sungard AS’s core products and services, including cloud recovery, consulting services, software services and managed services.

  3. Grow your technical and professional experience. Evidenced through knowledge of Sungard AS services, experience based learning and formal vendor / partner qualifications.

  4. Collaborate to provide clear communication and internal cooperation with other Sungard AS teams: Sales, Service Management, Operations, Legal, Contract Administration and executive team to drive sales success.

  5. Provide feedback into product and operations teams for new and existing Sungard AS services.

  6. Partner with the sales team to design, price and propose solutions for customers.

  7. Accountable for high level (ROM) and detailed development estimates for a proposed solution.

  8. Identity and feedback efficiencies and process improvements identified whilst performing the role.

  9. Travel as required to support an opportunity or for development and training purposes

  10. Develop and deliver effective professional presentations at any internal or external level.

  11. Develop and maintain positive working relationships within Sungard AS.

  12. Maintain a solid working knowledge of Sungard products and services.

  13. Complete all assigned product, project, services, policy and other training as assigned by management.

  14. Promote and protect the Sungard AS brand, to internal and external stakeholders.

  15. Work supportively with colleagues, operating in a collegiate manner at all times and in line with the Company’s values.
